Is there a schedule?
We have designed the Academy for flexibility to best suit your learning style. If you’d like to go at your own pace, our courses can be taken whenever is convenient for you. We provide you with a “Weekly Action Plan” (email) that helps you progress through the content (and take corresponding actions to improve your ministry) in UNDER 45 minutes per week! Our live monthly trainings are recorded so you can watch them if you can’t attend live. You can join our monthly live “Group Classes” if you like peer accountability and interaction. In other words, we provide a lot of options for you to train when and how you’d like to.
How long does it take to complete the program?
Our 15 in-depth courses can be completed within 6 months if you are diligent. However, in addition to the courses, you get live weekly coaching calls, live expert interviews (monthly), live monthly training workshops, and live monthly group classes covering various vital topics. Most of our members come for the courses, but stay for the ongoing training, support, and community.
Do I get a certificate?
Yes, when you complete all the courses (and we verify your learning through a short questionnaire) we have a signed, printable certificate of completion for you. This certificate can be helpful when applying for worship leader jobs. It differentiates you as someone who received training specifically designed for worship leaders and worship pastors. You must be a part of the community for at least six months to get the certificate.

Are you affiliated with a denomination?
WMT is not affiliated with any specific church or denomination. I (Alex) would describe myself as a middle-of-the-road, Bible-believing, Gospel-preaching, Jesus-loving evangelical. I was saved in a Presbyterian church, went on the mission field through Calvary Chapel, was a youth pastor at a Baptist Church (where I was also ordained), graduated from Moody Bible Institute with my degree in Biblical Studies, and have served at three non-denominational churches.
Can my worship team members join?
The Academy was designed to equip the primary worship leader. We do have resources for your team (musician training resources, and team devotions) but your team does not need Academy access to utilize those. Instead, we give you a private link that you send to your team members so they can train without needing an account. If for some reason you think some of your team members would benefit from being in the Academy, then they will need to purchase their own account.
