📙 Build better worship sets [e-book] – https://sendfox.com/lp/1d8lyk

Want to elevate your worship sets? Start using tags (or mash-ups). A tag / mash-up is when you add a chorus from a different song onto the end of your current song. This helps expand the themes you’re singing about and takes your congregation into deeper levels of worship and adoration. Here are 15 of my favorite tags! Try using one of them this Sunday! Enjoy!

Speaker 2 These are my top 15 mashups and tags that I like to use to elevate my worship sets. If you don’t know what a tag is, it’s when you take a chorus of a song and mash it into or tag it onto the end of the current song that you’re singing to really elevate the ideas and thoughts and concepts in that current song. Usually, it’s going to be in the same key and the same time signature, and it’s going to be thematically tied into the current song that you’re singing to really ignite people’s imaginations and take them even deeper into the theme that they’re singing about. If you’re not using tags, you are really missing out. And so I’m going to give you my top 15 tags. And what I’m going to do is I’m going to play the main song and see if you can guess what tag that I’m going to stick on the end of that. We’ll do that 15 times, and then you’ll have 15 new ideas for how you can better elevate your worship sets. So the first one is Waymaker. So at the end of the song, That is who you are.

Speaker 1 That is who you are. That is who you are. That is who you are. Then sing’s my soul, my saviour God to me.

Speaker 2 Okay, so How Great Thou Art, right? Waymaker to How Great Thou Art is one of my favourites. Four, four, How Great Thou Art, so keeping the time signature the same. So that’s the first one. Number two, The Stand by Hillsong at the end of the song. Let’s see if you guess where I’m going with this.

Speaker 1 So I’ll stand with arms high and heart abandoned In all, I’m the one who gave it all. I’ll stand, my soul, Lord, to you surrender all I am is yours. All I am, God, all I am is yours. So I, it’s all I will be. I exalt thee.

Speaker 2 Okay, so I exalt thee. That song works on a lot of songs, so definitely play around with I exalt thee. The stand to I exalt thee. Number three, Holy Forever. Guess what I’m going to tag on the end of Holy Forever?

Speaker 1 And you will always be holy, holy forever. Holy, holy, are you Lord God? Almighty. Holy is the land.

Speaker 2 So Agnes Day. Agnes Day is also another song that works well as a tag for a lot of songs. So Holy Forever to Agnes Day. Number four, I Will Look Up by Elevation Worship. See if you can guess where I’m going.

Speaker 1 I will look back to to see that you are faithful. I look ahead, believing you are able. Jesus, the Lord of All. You are Jesus, the Lord of All. What a powerful name it is. What a powerful name it is. The name of Jesus Christ, my…

Speaker 2 So what a beautiful name, of course. And the idea there is you have Jesus, Lord of all, and what a powerful name is Jesus’s name. So you have his name in both of those songs, and it’s bridging that power concept. All right, number 5, Christ be magnified. Where are we going with this one?

Speaker 1 We’re singing, Oh, Christ be magnified, the altar of my life. Christ be magnified in me. Be magnified. So Lord, I give you my heart. I give you my soul. I live for you alone.

Speaker 2 It’s Lord, I give you my heart. It’s an old ’90s song. So Christ be magnified in me. I give you my heart. I give you my soul. I live for you alone. That’s another thematic tag. Same key, same time signature. Let’s do another Christ be magnified, number 6.

Speaker 1 Christ be magnified in me. Be magnified on me. Because you are You are worthy of it all. You are worthy of it all.

Speaker 2 You got some backing pads going.

Speaker 1 For from you are all things, and to you are all things.

Speaker 2 So anyway, worthy of it all. Christ be magnified because you’re worthy of it all my whole life. And you build that up. That’s another tag. Number seven, the main song is Gratitude. Where we going to go with Gratitude? So this will be coming out of the bridge.

Speaker 1 So come on my soul, don’t you get shy on me, lift up your song. You got a lion inside of your love. Get up and praise the Lord. It’s your bread in our lungs. We pour out our praise Anyway, so Great Are You Lord chorus because you’ve got the lungs in both of those songs, and it’s praising the Lord because he’s great.

Speaker 2 So gratitude to Great Are You Lord. All right, number eight, A Thousand Hallelujahs. Where are we going with this one?

Speaker 1 With a thousand Hallelujahs, we magnify your name. You alone deserve the glory, the honour and the praise. Lord Jesus, this song is forever your. A thousand Hallelujahs and a thousand ones. So bless the Lord, oh my soul. 10,000 reasons.

Speaker 2 10,000 reasons, chorus, because it’s a thousand. Hallelujah. It’s 10,000 reasons, and we’re blessing the Lord, and we’re worshipping him. All right, number Nine. Oh, praise the name. Where are we going for the tag here? Can you guess? Let’s see.

Speaker 1 Oh, praise the name of the Lord our God. We praise his name forevermore. For endless days we will sing, Oh, praise, oh Lord, oh Lord, I got. Oh Lord, oh Lord, I got it. Oh Lord, oh Lord, yeah, yeah. Because he’s the name above holy. He’s worthy, though, and worthy of ‘Oh, praise’ That is how great is our God, Bridge.

Speaker 2 ‘oh, praise’ is the name, because why? Name to name above all names. All right, hope that makes sense. Number 10, favourite tag, We Fall Down, the old Chris Tomlin song. Where are we going with this? Let’s see if you can guess.

Speaker 1 So we cry, ‘Holy, holy, holy, is the land, is the land, is the land, the land. So I stand with arms high, heart abandoned, in all for the one who…

Speaker 2 So the stand. We’re going into the stand to continue our worship of the Lamb. And let’s do another We Fall Down. You can do another one. So is the land.

Speaker 1 Here we go. Because worthy is your name, Jesus. You deserve the praise. Worth is your name. Worthy is your name.

Speaker 2 Worthy by elevation. We fall down into worthy. So that’s number 10 and 11. Number 12, here is a good response song tag, Run to the Father by Cody Karns. I’ll run to the Father, fall into grace.

Speaker 1 Done with the hiding, I’m freezing away. My heart needs a surgeon, my soul needs a friend, so I’ll run to the Father again and again and again and again. Come to the altar. The Father’s arms are open wide.

Speaker 2 All right. So Father, Father. Run to the Father. Come to the altar because the Father’s arms are open wide. All right. Number 13 is 10,000 reasons into what? Can you guess?

Speaker 1 I worship your whole being. Yes, I will worship your whole Here I am to worship. Here I am to bow down. Here I am to say that you’re my God.

Speaker 2 Here I am to worship because I’m worshipping your only name, 10,000 reasons. Number 14, let’s do a double tag ending. So this is worthy of it all. You’re already tagging worthy of it all, and you’re going to tag again to elevate it even more. Where are we going with this one? You are worthy of it all, you are worthy of it all. For from you are all things, and to you are all, for from you, for For from you are all things, and to you are all things, I need to be. That’s one option.

Speaker 1 You could also go, For from you are all things, and to you are all things, For from you are all things, and to you are all things. Holy, holy, are you Lord God Almighty?

Speaker 2 Worth is the lamb because it’s worthy and worthy. There, I just gave you two and one. And the very, very last one that I want to give you is, actually, I’m not going to give it to you. You’re going to give it to me. And we’re going to all leave comments below with our favourite mashups so that we can learn from each other.
