Are you looking for great worship songs to lead with your youth band or at your youth group services? Look no further! Here is a list of all our favorite “youthful” worship songs that will work great in your youth ministry.
What Young People Need
Every generation needs songs that resonate with them. The older generation loves hymns because that is what they grew up with when they were young. The Jesus Movement (aka: hippies that met Christ) introduced “modern worship” (guitars, etc) into their services, because that’s what helped them worship.
As worship leaders, we should seek to serve those that we are leading by taking into account their stylistic preferences.
We asked a group of 1,000 worship leaders what songs were working well for their youth bands, and these are the songs they responded with.
Note: Just because these songs work well in other youth groups, doesn’t mean they will work well in yours. Be sure to vet these songs and make sure they’ll resonate with the students at your church.
Also be sure that they are theologically accurate, deep, and clear. If you need help understanding the five qualities of a strong congregational song, CLICK HERE to get our free guide.
